Despite the Lack of Dane Cook, the New MLB Postseason Ad Still Manages to FAIL

I sincerely hoped that there would be only one October MLB ad campaign that would make me want to hang myself. (See: Cook, Dane and October.)

I was wrong (of course). Now, we get some young man sitting behind a desk at home plate, typing and repeating out loud these silly one sentence fragments about the history of baseball. In other words, if you take off the backwards hat, he's just the postseason love child of Woody Paige and Bill Plaschke. *Shiver*

Oh, right. The backwards hat is what makes him cool and engenders him to our generation. That's not a FAIL at all. Great job, MLB! Another successful year of postseason advertising!

(Yes, in fairness, the guy here is "Spanish" from Old School. So that's not outdated at all. And at least MLB is trying to connect to the bloggers.)
